SUGGESTED SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST 2024 – 2025 SCHOOL YEAR  

First Day of School

  • Tuesday, September 3, 2024 - Half Day for all Students

  • Wednesday, September 4, 2024 - Full Day  Grades 1 - 5  (Y 5's / K Half day)

  • Please note September 3, 4, and 5th, 2024 will Half Day's AM ONLY for Young 5/Kindergarten

Bell Schedule

  • Full day -  8:55 a.m. to 4:01 p.m.

  • Half day - 8:55 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.

Farrand Elementary Back to School News and Information

Login To MISTAR Parent Portal

Please complete the Back to School Check In -- Update for your student through MiStar Parent Portal beginning August 15th and prior to August 26th.   All parents should complete this, including newly enrolled families.

  • Go to the MiStar Parent Portal  login page. Use your PIN & password to access the site.  If you have forgotten your PIN or Password, click on the “Reset your Password” button and follow the instructions.

  • Once logged in, click on the ‘Back to School Check-in’ link (which is written in red) on the upper- right corner of the page. It will take you to a new page which will list all your students.

  • Click on the “Register Now” button to begin the process for your Farrand student(s).

Emergency Card Information: Please update your information at Parent Connect .

Emergency Call System: Plymouth - Canton uses an emergency call system to contact parents. If your child is absent from school you will be notified by this system.

Class Assignments
Student Class Placement will be available through the MiStar Parent Portal on Monday, August 26, 2024

FUTURE COMMUNICATIONS: It is very important that all Farrand families visit and update MiStar Parent Portal to review all personal contact information and emergency contact information to assure it's accuracy.   Future communications will be  through email and phone call blasts and that contact information is pulled from MiStar.

Immunization Information
Information on immunizations can be found on the P-CCS Health and Safety Immunization Information page.

Medication at School
If your student will need to take medication during school hours, please visit the P-CCS Health and Safety Medication Use page to review policies and find necessary forms. 

Lunch Information
Please click here for Farrand lunch menus. For Free or Reduced Lunch, a new application is required to be completed and submitted each school year with Food and Nutrition Services. For questions, please contact the Food Service Department at 734-416-7702.


Bus Information

 Families currently the transportation selection is open in MiStar. The default is "NO", so if your students needs a bus you must change it to "YES" and submit.

Families will receive an email from the Transportation Department with bussing information. The date of bussing information release is coming soon. If you do not receive an email by the last week in August, please call the Transportation Department to get your student's bus information.
